Rocket League is finally getting an Xbox One release after PS4 and PC, and it’s not that far off. The game, developed by Psyonix and featuring an interesting take on soccer utilizing cars as players, will be seeing an Xbox One release next Wednesday on the 17th.
When Rocket League arrives on Xbox One, it’ll offer up all of the DLC available on the PlayStation 4 and PC versions of the game for the initial $19.99 price tag along with some exclusives. What exclusives? According to the press release, those who pick up the Xbox One version of the game will have access to a number of exclusives including antennas, wheels, and rocket trails. Nothing out of the ordinary, but still pretty cool for those that are looking to play the game on the Xbox One.
The PlayStation 4 and PC have likewise received exclusives, perhaps most notably the character Sweet Tooth from the Twisted Metal franchise. It’s become increasingly popular for indie developers to include characters and items from other series as a token of appreciation, and it’s great to see the same thing happening in Rocket League, even if it is limited to the occasional decoration.
As previously confirmed, the Xbox One version of the game will come with two exclusive vehicles, the HogSticker, which is a different take on the Warthog from the Halo universe, and the Armadillo from Gears of War. Pretty cool! Rocket League was one of our favorite games of 2015, so we’re pretty excited that more people will be able to play it soon. Psyonix really deserves the success with this one!
