MADDEN 15 Tips: TOP 100 CERTIFIED MINI SCHEME!

This is the group of plays that I have ran pretty much since the game came out. Every year in madden I always find a offense that is easy to run but yet complex enough to get me in the top 100 and this year the formation was GUN WING OFFSET WK out of the Packers Playbook, which in my opinion one of the best and most effective formations in the game! It is simple and easy to run but also if ran correctly can be very hard to stop!

RUNNING

Inside Zone Split

By far in my opinion the best run in the game! The run blocking is absolutely insane as the TE comes across and takes the end and leaves a huge hole up the middle! I have come out in this play over 700 times and average over 6 yards a carry unless they are heavily stacking the box. Many times I will run this play on first down or when my opponent has spread his D-line. It really keeps the defense honest because they must respect my running game.

Power 0

I don’t use this nearly as much as the inside Zone Split but if I notice they are lets say pinching their D-line in or pinching linebackers i will run this play and it has HOME RUN potential. I have ran this 229 times and have averaged 6.7 yards average!!

Counter Y

Another run I use to complement the inside zone run. If the defense shades towards the right where the 2 receivers are I will run this and it is either boom or bust. The end will sometimes stop it for a loss but if not it usually goes for 20+ yards each time.

Read Option

This is a play I only really use in the second half of games and usually about twice a game and this is banking on the fact that we have ran the inside zone so successfully that the defense attacks the RB leaving the QB a clear path around the edge.

PASSING

Vertical TE Cross

“ The Everything Beater”- You have 3 reads here and depending on what you see it will make the decision very simple.

Read 1- The streak on the left. If you have watched my videos before you know I love to user catch and this is the play that works best for doing it. I explain in the video above how do it. I only run this vs zone coverage and usually only cover 3.

Read 2- The TE- I love this route as it is absolute money and if the defense is playing man I will usually throw this every time for big gains!

Read 3 – I hot route the WR on the right to a drag so if they are in any zone I can usually wait and there will be a hole to complete it incase the other 2 reads are not there.

Strong Flood

“ The Man Beater” – Hot route the TE to a out as a check down. I wait and after the middle receiver starts his outside break I fire a outside aimed bullet pass. If he’s not open just hit the TE as that will beat man every time.

PA Zone

“ The Zone Beater”- This play kills zone coverage! Take the WR on the left and out route him so if I get fooled I still have that to throw too. You simply wait tell the outside WR makes his break and chuck a bullet pass to him. This works 75-85 % of the time but I only run this maybe twice or 3 times a game because it is easy to read and people will catch on.

*BONUS*- If they are in man you can run the fake and if you have a fast enough QB sprint to the right and just follow your halfback. That area should be cleared because the routes all go to the left.

HB SLIP SCREEN- There are 3 variations of this play, I list them here below:

1- Move the HB to the right so he is BEHIND the tight end. Snap the ball and roll to the right with the QB and then when the HB clears the offensive line throw it to him.

2 -“ TE SCREEN” – This play is so cool and we are able to do it because the TE is in the backfield. Put the RB on a swing right and put the TE on a swing left. Wait and then throw it to the TE. He will now be behind the blockers. This is my favourite play to use in the redzone.

3- “ WR Screen” Put either WR on a drag and then make your RB swing to the right, which creates a miss direction. Then roll to the right and throw to the receiver going to the left. I will use this if I need a big play as it will go for TDs a lot!

FL SCREEN- I run this play 2 ways and my average is usually over 11 yards.

Way 1- Run the play stock as in this years games screens work super well.

Way 2- Motion RB to the right behind the TE and then put him on a wheel. This play all depends on whether or not the QB can throw the wheel. For some reason in this years games they don’t throw it correctly and that will happen about 50% of the time. When it is completed however it will go for big yards.

DEPTH CHART

QB- Preferably a mobile QB as it gives you the option of scrambling but it can be ran by any QB

RB- Short and Quick. Short small Rbs just hit the hole better and big Rbs are not as effective

TE- Any, but a good receiving TE with speed helps.

WR1- This will be the guy on the left and you want the fastest guy here. Ex. Torrey Smith

WR2- This is the Spec Catch guy so you put your tallest wr here Ex. Marlon Brown

WR3- the best overall other than WR1 OR WR2
