Monday, September 8, 2014 is the first day that members of The JFF Madden NFL (PS4) Online League will be able to play the first of their four Preseason contests, and as the season gets underway, we will spend the next two weeks offering a preview of each of the eight divisions.
Today, we start with the NFC West Division.
JFF Fall 2013 Regular Season record: 4-11-1 (4th in NFC West)
Last game played: Lost 24-0 to the JFF San Francisco 49ers (JFF Fall 2013 Week #17)
Owner / Coach: Damian P. / PSN: INGLEWOODD (1st season with Cardinals)
General Comments:
Damian P. makes the jump from the AFC Conference, where he led the JFF New England Patriots to a 13-3-0 record and an appearance in the AFC Conference Championship Game. The JFF Cardinals are expected to finish no worse than 12-4-0 this season, and will definitely be in contention for the NFC West Division crown.
Offensive Outlook:
Last season, QB Carson Palmer completed 310 out of 523 passes for 4,184 passing yards and 26 touchdowns. Palmer was also guilty of throwing 26 interceptions. HB Steven Jackson, who is no longer with the team, rushed 271 times for 1,389 rushing yards and 12 rushing touchdowns. WR Larry Fitzgerald had 79 receptions for 1,176 receiving yards and 9 receiving touchdowns.
Defensive Outlook:
Left Defensive End Calais Campbell ended the Fall 2013 season with 4 sacks and 16 tackles (including 7 for a loss of yardage). Defensive Tackle Dan Williams finished the season with 43 tackles (including 14 for a loss of yardage). LOLB John Abraham, who will be playing this season at the ROLB position, finished the season with 5 sacks, 1 interception, and 77 tackles (including 9 for a loss of yardage). CB Patrick Peterson finished last season with 4 interceptions (including one returned for a touchdown), and FS Rashad Johnson and SS Jordan Babineaux (no longer with the team) also finished with 4 interceptions each.
JFF Fall 2013 Regular Season record: 5-11-0 (3rd in NFC West)
Last game played: Lost 29-10 to the JFF Seattle Seahawks (JFF Fall 2013 Week #17)
Owner / Coach: Jeff Fisher / EA Sports CPU (2nd season with Cardinals)
General Comments:
Last season, the JFF St. Louis Rams started out strong in the first five weeks of the Regular Season, going undefeated under then-new Owner / Coach Victor S. a.k.a. “Pasadena Soldier.” Soldier decided to quit after JFF Week #5 citing a “busy schedule,” and at the time, it created a controversy in the league (CLICK HERE). This season, no human Owner / Coach has purchased the ownership rights to the JFF Rams, so until one does, this team will be led by the CPU talents of Coach Jeff Fisher.
Offensive Outlook:
Last season, QB Sam Bradford completed 252 out of 445 passes for 3,797 passing yards and 27 touchdowns. Bradford was also guilty of throwing 19 interceptions. HB Zac Stacy rushed 314 times for 1,676 rushing yards and 18 rushing touchdowns. Stacy was also guilty of fumbling the ball 6 times. TE Coby Fleener, who is no longer with the team, had 52 receptions for 565 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns. WR Brian Quick finished the season with 41 receptions for 857 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns.
Defensive Outlook:
Right Defensive End Robert Quinn ended the Fall 2013 season with 8 sacks and 38 tackles (including 12 for a loss of yardage). Left Defensive End Chris Long completed the season with 5 sacks and 42 tackles (including 9 for a loss of yardage). LOLB Alec Ogletree finished the season with 1 sack, 3 interceptions, and 77 tackles (including 6 for a loss of yardage). CB Cortland Finnegan, who is no longer with the team, accumulated 4 interceptions for the season. CB Janoris Jenkins also finished the season with 4 interceptions, including two that were returned for touchdowns.
JFF Fall 2013 Regular Season record: 10-6-0 (1st in NFC West)
Last game played: Lost 49-14 to the JFF Dallas Cowboys (JFF Fall 2013 NFC Wild-Card Playoff Game)
Owner / Coach: Cadillac / PSN: poefield109 (1st season with 49ers)
General Comments:
Michael P. a.k.a. “Cadillac” also makes the jump from the AFC Conference, where he led the JFF Tennessee Titans to a 12-3-1 Regular Season record and a 1-1 record in the AFC Wild-Card Round and Divisional Round. The JFF 49ers are expected to finish no worse than 13-3-0 this season, and will be involved in a three-way battle for the NFC West Division crown.
Offensive Outlook:
Last season, QB Colin Kaepernick completed 225 out of 364 passes for 3,178 passing yards and 23 touchdowns. Kaepernick was also guilty of throwing 22 interceptions. HB Frank Gore rushed 279 times for 1,279 rushing yards and 16 rushing touchdowns. WR Mario Manningham had 42 receptions for 837 receiving yards and 8 touchdowns, and WR Michael Crabtree had 34 receptions for 581 receiving yards and 6 touchdowns.
Defensive Outlook:
Left Defensive End Ray McDonald ended the Fall 2013 season with 12 sacks and 48 tackles (including 18 for a loss of yardage). Defensive Tackle Sione Pouha, who is no longer with the team, had 3 sacks and 30 tackles (including 6 for a loss of yardage). LOLB Ahmad Brooks finished the season with 3 sacks and 37 tackles (including 6 for a loss of yardage). MLB Patrick Willis had 2 sacks, 2 interceptions, and 80 tackles (including 9 for a loss of yardage). ROLB Aldon Smith ended the season with 5 sacks, 2 interceptions, and 59 tackles (including 17 for a loss of yardage). SS Donte Whitner, who is no longer with the team, completed the Fall 2013 season with 3 sacks, 3 interceptions (including one returned for a touchdown), and 59 tackles (including 5 for a loss of yardage).

Last game played: Defeated the JFF St. Louis Rams 29-10 (JFF Fall 2013 Week #17)
Owner / Coach: Malo / PSN: EyeRome (1st season with Seahawks)
General Comments:
New JFF Owner / Coach Malo I. takes over one of the highest rated teams on EA Sports’ Madden NFL 15. The JFF Seahawks are expected to finish no worse than 9-7-0 this season, and will be involved in a tight three-way race for the NFC West Division crown.
Offensive Outlook:
During the Fall 2013 season, QB Russell Wilson completed 293 out of 438 passing yards for 3,615 yards and 28 touchdowns. Wilson also threw 19 interceptions. The speedy quarterback also rushed 88 times for 456 yards and 2 rushing touchdowns. HB Jamaal Charles, who is no longer with the team, rushed 234 times for 546 yards and 9 rushing touchdowns. Charles also caught 42 passes for 379 receiving yards and 2 receiving touchdowns. WR Percy Harvin caught 68 passes for 1,043 receiving yards and 9 touchdowns. WR Sidney Rice, who is no longer with the team, had 61 receptions for 727 yards and 5 touchdowns.
Defensive Outlook:
Left Defensive End Michael Bennett finished the Fall 2013 season with 4 sacks and 31 tackles (including 6 for a loss of yardage). Right Defensive End Cliff Avril completed the season with 5 sacks and 24 tackles (including 8 for a loss of yardage). Defensive Tackle Jordan Hill ended the season with 7 sacks and 32 tackles (including 10 for a loss of yardage). MLB Bobby Wagner had 2 sacks, 4 interceptions (including 2 returned for touchdowns), and 113 tackles (including 4 for a loss of yardage). ROLB Bruce Irvin had 4 sacks, 1 interception, and 80 tackles (including 6 for a loss of yardage). CB Brandon Browner, who is no longer with the team, finished with 4 interceptions (including two that were returned for touchdowns).
