NSFL Overview of AFC North

Cleveland Browns

Strengths: Defense strong, young, cheap and is going to be easy to build on especially with the add-ons of Donte Whitner via Free Agency and Justin Gilbert via The Draft. Line backing Core is going to be a great compliment to their secondary especially with free agent pickup of Karlos Dansby who will be the QB of the Defense. Their offensive line is going to help their lack of receivers and the QB situation.

Weakness: Lack of receivers except for Josh Gordon and star TE Jordan Cameron. QB situation of whether Brian Hoyer or Johnny Manziel will be starting week one.

Prediction: Finishing third in this tough division. Their biggest asset will be Coach Simms knowing who to use mobile QB, although his QB doesn’t know how to slide.

Pittsburgh Steelers

Strengths: One of their biggest strengths on Offense will be QB Ben Roethlisberger and their star WR Antonio Brown. Biggest Strength on Defense will be Troy Polamalu.

Weakness: Crowded backfield will be this teams biggest weakness on Offense. Defensive weakness will be the aged players of the team and also not knowing who may retire this season.

Prediction: The Steelers finishing last in this division.

Baltimore Ravens

Strengths: This team should have a great air attack with QB Joe Flacco, WR Steve Smith, WR Torrey Smith, and TE Dennis Pitta. Defenses strengths will be their front seven including LB Terrell Suggs, DT Haloti Ngata, Draft pickup C.J. Mosley should make an instant splash in the Defense.

Weakness: Secondary could be a weakness due to lack of depth with only CB Lardarius Webb and S Matt Elam being the only standout players in that secondary.

Prediction: I believe they will win this division coming off of a Superbowl loss, they’re poised for a deep run in the playoffs.

Cincinnati Bengals

Strengths: Good, young defense with a decent secondary and a great front seven with DT Geno Atkins and LB Vontaze Burfict. Offense lead by QB Andy Dalton and star WR A.J. Green and a good backfield ran by HB Giovani Bernard.

Weakness: Weak offensive line and lack of consistency from QB Andy Dalton.

Prediction: Finishing second in this division.
